Dit radiostation biedt gevarieerde programmering.
A commercial FM radio station licensed to Emporia, Kansas, operating at 104.9 MHz with a hot adult contemporary format under the branding Mix 104.9. The station is owned by Emporia's Radio Stations, Inc. and has served the Emporia market continuously since its launch in June 1966 as the FM companion to KVOE AM. For its first several years, the FM outlet simulcast most programming from the AM station. By the early 1970s the station began incorporating country music, and around 1975 it separated entirely from the AM as an independent outlet called KLRF, branded as Colorful 105. A change in licensee in late 1984 brought Emporia Broadcasting into ownership, shifting the format to contemporary hit radio under the KFFX call sign and the Fox 105 brand. Valu Broadcasting acquired both AM and FM stations in January 1986 and later renamed itself Emporia's Radio Stations, Inc. in 1994. Around 2001, KFFX transitioned to its current hot adult contemporary format as Mix 104.9. The station serves as the official broadcaster for Emporia State University Hornets athletic teams, operating under the Voice of the Hornets identity during sports seasons. Greg Rahe, who spent 35 years as the Voice of the Hornets, departed in July 2023 and was replaced by Blake Cripps, previously the Voice of the Newman University Jets in Wichita. Beyond sports, the station covers local news across Lyon, Chase, Coffey, and Osage counties, reporting on agriculture, education, government, and community affairs across the Flint Hills region of east-central Kansas.
