This radio station was conceived in the summer of 2021, inspired by a gathering that began the previous year. Initially a small get-together with tsipouro and canned goods, it evolved into an "Ouzeri Iordanis" evening featuring a playlist of old popular Greek music. This success led to the idea of creating a radio station dedicated to "palaia laika" (old popular music) and "rembetika" (urban folk music). The programming also includes "elafrolaika" (light popular music), and potentially some Greek-language rock and low-bap. The station explicitly avoids "entexnilies" (art songs) and contemporary "skiladiko" (a genre of Greek popular music). The station maintains a presence on Facebook with both a group and a page.
