WRBB 104.9 FM

A student-run variety format station owned by Northeastern University and funded through the student activities fee, broadcasting from the main campus since 1962. The station airs over 100 music and talk programs during a typical semester, encompassing diverse musical genres and topical programming. All major Northeastern athletic events including hockey, basketball, and baseball games are broadcast live. The station was among the first college radio outlets in the country to embrace hip-hop music during the early 1980s. Originally launching as a carrier-current station limited to dormitory reception, the station expanded to full FM broadcasting and has served as a training ground for professional broadcasters and media personalities throughout its history.
