Radio 41

This web radio and journalistic outlet is dedicated to the intersection of music and human rights. It hosts the 29th edition of 'Voci per la Libertà – Una canzone per Amnesty,' a festival celebrating music and human rights, alongside the Amnesty International Awards 2026. The festival features two main sections for its awards: one for established artists ('Big') and another for emerging artists. Applications for the 'Big' section, focusing on songs published in 2025 that address themes from the Universal Declaration of Human Rights, are accepted via email until March 31st. A joint commission from Amnesty International Italia and Voci per la Libertà selects ten finalists, who are then judged by a panel of experts including journalists, broadcasters, academics, and representatives from the organizing bodies. The winner of the 'Big' section performs at the festival. Past recipients of this award include notable Italian artists such as Ivano Fossati, Paola Turci, Subsonica, Carmen Consoli, Brunori Sas, Fiorella Mannoia, Manuele Agnelli, and Diodato, reflecting a consistent commitment to promoting values of freedom, equality, and justice through music. For the 'Emergenti' section, a call for entries is open online for singer-songwriters and bands with songs about human rights, in any language or musical genre. The festival itself, scheduled from July 24th to 26th, will include live performances, award ceremonies, and collateral events focused on art, culture, and activism. The announcement for the 2026 edition was made during the 76th Festival della Canzone Italiana in Sanremo, at Casa Vessicchio, a space dedicated to cultural exchange. The slogan for the 2026 edition is 'Fai sentire la tua voce' (Make your voice heard).
