A commercial AM station operating on 1460 kHz, owned by Union-Carolina Broadcasting Company, Inc. The station carries a country music format alongside news content sourced from Westwood One News and Westwood One 24-hour formats, as well as programming from the South Carolina Radio Network and the syndicated Clark Howard Show. Local coverage includes news, weather, and community events, with a strong emphasis on sports broadcasting. The station airs the full football, baseball, and basketball schedules of Union County High School, along with University of South Carolina and Clemson University football and basketball games and Atlanta Braves baseball. Technically, the transmitter and antenna array are located west of the community on Rice Avenue. During daytime hours a single tower produces an omnidirectional signal; at night, three towers operate in a directional array concentrating the signal toward the east. An FM translator, W278BE at 103.5 MHz, came online in February 2008, extending reach to FM listeners. The station launched online streaming on October 31, 2014, and subsequently released Android and iPhone applications for mobile access.
