KWED 1580 AM - KWED transmite en vivo desde Seguin TX, United States, en Tuninga Radio.
Esta emisora ofrece una programación variada.
A commercial AM radio station broadcasting a full-service country music format, owned by Guadalupe Media, Ltd. Programming draws on syndicated content from Premiere Networks and Westwood One, supplemented by CBS News Radio updates and an in-house news operation. The station also produces the Seguin Daily News, an online newspaper published each business day by its journalism staff. Broadcasting with a non-directional antenna at 1,450 watts daytime and 300 watts at night, the station covers Guadalupe County and portions of the eastern San Antonio metropolitan area. The reduced nighttime power is required by FCC regulations to protect CKDO in Oshawa, Ontario, as 1580 AM is a Canadian clear-channel frequency. The transmitter is situated on C.H. Matthies Jr. Drive in west Seguin, near the Texas Lutheran University campus, while studios occupy East Court Street. The station's origins date to June 27, 1946, when an initial construction permit was granted to Seguin resident Weldon Lawson. Broadcasting on 1580 kHz began on September 9, 1948, with an initial license to cover issued the following month. Garfield Kiel, the station's first general manager, became a co-partner in 1950, and the operation was restructured as Seguin Broadcasting Company in 1952. By 1957, the station had relocated to its current East Court Street studios, establishing a presence it has maintained through subsequent ownership changes and format continuity.
