Its studios and offices are located in Providence, while its transmitter is situated in Tiverton. The station airs a tropical format comprising Latin pop, merengue, salsa, and reggaeton. The station has undergone several format and callsign changes throughout its history. It signed on as WOTB on October 6, 1978, at 107.1 MHz as a smooth jazz station co-owned with WKFD and later WADK. It subsequently moved to 100.3 MHz with increased power. The smooth jazz format ended in June 1996 when the station was sold to Urso Broadcasting, after which it briefly simulcast WDGE as WDGF before pivoting to a 1970s oldies and disco format in February 1997. It then became classic hits as WHKK in October 1997, later adopting an all-1980s format as WZRI. In October 2002, the station's studios relocated to Fairhaven, Massachusetts, and callsigns changed to WKKB while the station adopted a rock format as 100.3 KKB, serving as the Providence and South Coast affiliate of the Patriots Rock Radio Network. In January 2005, Citadel Broadcasting sold WKKB to Davidson Media Group, which converted the station to its current tropical format on February 1, 2005. In 2015, the station was among four properties sold to Red Wolf Broadcasting.
