Non-commercial Christian radio station established in 1953 and licensed to serve Northeastern Pennsylvania and New York's Southern Tier region. The station was founded by W. Douglas Roe and began operations with 1,000 watts of daytime broadcasting. Eight years later, a sister FM station was constructed, signing on the air in 1961 with significantly more power (57,000 watts), making it one of the region's most powerful stations. The expanded coverage reaches a potential audience of more than 800,000 listeners across 16 counties. Programming combines Bible teaching, hymns, instrumental compositions, worship music, and classic adult contemporary Christian music with classical selections during afternoon hours. The parent organization, Montrose Broadcasting Corporation, operates a network of related Christian radio stations across the region, with transmitter facilities relayed through four FM translators to extend broadcast coverage. Online streaming has been available since 2008.
