WFMU Rock'n'Soul Radio

An internet radio stream associated with WFMU, the freeform radio station based in Jersey City, New Jersey. Rock'n'Soul Radio operates as one of WFMU's streaming channels, offering a continuous music programming strand rooted in rock and soul genres alongside eclectic adjacent formats. The schedule includes several distinct hosted programs. The Night Owl Show with Owl Sun runs nightly from midnight to 5:00 a.m., described as featuring an artificially intelligent on-air persona loosely modeled after late-night radio figure Allison Steele. The show combines poetry, spoken word encouragement, and psychedelic music. Other featured programs include Todd-o-phonic Todd, Soul Lunch with Soul'n'Soul Bunny offering vintage soul 45 rpm recordings, and Tom Dash, which covers DIY and post-punk oriented music. WFMU as an institution is well known for its listener-supported, freeform programming philosophy with no commercial advertising and a long history of eclectic independent broadcasting dating to the 1950s. Rock'n'Soul Radio extends that tradition into a dedicated streaming strand focused on music programming.
