Operating under the brand "The Patriot," this commercial AM station is licensed to Minneapolis, Minnesota, and serves the broader Twin Cities region. It is owned by Salem Media Group and carries a conservative talk radio format. By day the station transmits at 10,000 watts, increasing to 15,000 watts at night, using a directional four-tower array. A 250-watt FM translator at 107.5 MHz also carries the programming. Transmitter facilities and studios are located on Cliff Road near Minnesota State Highway 77 and Interstate 35E. Weekday programming consists of nationally syndicated conservative talk shows drawn largely from the co-owned Salem Radio Network, including programs hosted by Hugh Hewitt, Mike Gallagher, Chris Stigall, Larry Elder, Charlie Kirk, and Eric Metaxas, along with "The Mark Levin Show" from Westwood One. Weekend hours feature programs on personal finance, health, real estate, and the military, as well as brokered content. The station has one of the longest broadcasting histories in the Twin Cities, signing on August 10, 1925 as WRHM, named for Rosedale Hospital in Minneapolis. It affiliated with the CBS Radio Network in 1929 before switching to NBC's Blue Network in 1937. Purchased by Twin Cities Newspapers in 1934, it became WTCN. The station has operated under several call signs and ownership groups across its century of broadcasting history, eventually reaching its current format and Salem Media ownership.
