Owned by Delta Media Corporation, the station brands itself as "Southwest Louisiana's Sports Station" and also reaches the Lake Charles market through a simulcast arrangement with KLCJ 104.1 FM. The station signed on in May 2010, with an official launch on May 27 of that year. Its early programming originated as classic hits carried over from sister station KXKW, which subsequently shifted to a classic country format. On June 1, 2012, the station transitioned from a classic rock format — branded as "Snap 103.7" — to sports radio, adopting the branding "103.7 The Game." On February 7, 2022, a simulcast arrangement was established with KLCJ 104.1 FM in Oak Grove, extending the station's sports programming reach into the Lake Charles radio market. On June 26, 2023, both KLWB-FM and KLCJ became ESPN Radio affiliates and added Matt Moscona's afternoon drive program After Further Review to their lineup. Studios are located on Evangeline Thruway in Carencro, while the transmitter is positioned northeast of Lafayette.
