Cadena COPE (Cadena de Ondas Populares Españolas) is one of Spain's principal radio networks, with over 200 local stations broadcasting across the country. Owned by the Spanish Episcopal Conference and the Diocesan Radio consortium, COPE is the second most-listened-to generalist radio station in Spain, reaching more than 3.4 million daily listeners.
The network was founded in 1959 through the consolidation of various church-owned radio stations across Spain. COPE's programming centres on talk radio, news, sports, and opinion, with flagship shows consistently ranking among the most popular in Spanish radio. The station is particularly known for its extensive sports coverage, including live football commentary.
In addition to its flagship generalist network, COPE operates Rock FM (contemporary rock music) and MegaStar FM (urban and dance music). The network has built a significant digital presence with over 13 million followers across social media platforms and a mobile app providing live streams and on-demand content from all its stations.
