This radio station offers diverse programming.
A commercial radio station licensed to Wooster, Ohio, serving the Canton and Akron markets with a Christian adult contemporary format. Originally signing on in 1947 under the callsign WWST-FM, the station spent its early decades simulcasting its AM sister station with a middle-of-the-road format. It followed the Top 40 trend in 1962 before transitioning to country music in the 1980s, adopting the WQKT callsign on October 10, 1983. For much of its country era, the station used the syndicated Westwood One Mainstream Country music service. In November 2023, Dix Broadcasting announced the sale of WQKT and co-owned WKVX 960 AM to River Radio Ministries for $3,050,000. River Radio assumed operations on May 1, 2024, and flipped the station to Christian adult contemporary programming using The River network, primarily simulcasting 104.9 WCVO in Columbus. The station retains local sports coverage including games of The College of Wooster and area high schools, as well as the agricultural program The Farm Hour with Ron Hamilton. Studios and transmitter are located on South Hillcrest Drive in Wooster.
