About WTMP 96.1 FM
WTMP 96.1 FM streams live from Tampa FL, United States, on Tuninga Radio.
This radio station offers diverse programming.
A commercial radio station licensed to Dade City, Florida, broadcasting a Spanish-language regional Mexican format to the Tampa Bay area. Owned by Vallejo Production, it operates as the Spanish-language flagship station for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers Spanish Radio Network. The station transmits at 2,800 watts as a Class A facility, significantly lower than the 100,000-watt output of major Tampa Bay competitors, which limits its coverage primarily to the northern suburbs of the metropolitan area. Studios are located in Tampa on East Washington Street, with the transmitter sited near Spring Lake. The station first signed on September 3, 1993, as WBSB under Dade City Broadcasting with an adult contemporary format. In 2001, Tama Broadcasting acquired it for $4.1 million and rebranded it WTMP-FM, aligning it with the company's existing urban adult contemporary AM station. In 2018, NIA Broadcasting purchased the station for $350,000 and began airing a regional Mexican format, initially branded as "La Mexicana" in simulcast with another station, before rebranding independently as "La Invasora 96."
