KIH24 NOAA Weather Radio

A National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) Weather Radio station providing continuous broadcasts of official weather forecasts, warnings, watches, and hazard information for the surrounding region. Part of NOAA's nationwide network of over 1,000 transmitters, the station delivers around-the-clock public safety programming produced by the National Weather Service. Broadcasts include current conditions, short and extended forecasts, marine and aviation outlooks, and emergency alerts for severe weather events. The programming is automated and updated multiple times daily by National Weather Service meteorologists. NOAA Weather Radio is designated as an All Hazards network, meaning coverage extends beyond meteorological events to include technological and natural disasters, Amber Alerts, and other emergency notifications from federal, state, and local authorities. The signal is accessible on standard weather band receivers, as well as through internet audio streaming platforms that aggregate transmissions from stations across the country.
