About KSWV FM 99.9

KSWV FM 99.9 streams live from Santa Fe NM, United States, on Tuninga Radio.

This radio station offers diverse programming.

A commercial radio station operating on 810 AM with a simulcast low-power FM translator at 99.9 MHz, licensed to Santa Fe, New Mexico, and owned by Celina Gonzales through GCBendito 4 LLC. The station presents a classic hits format and co-locates its studios and offices with the publication Santa Fe Today on Taos Street. The station's history dates to 1966 when it signed on as KAFE. It was subsequently rebranded as KMIK on July 22, 1987, before being acquired in 1991 by George Abran Gonzales, a former mayor of Santa Fe who served in that role from 1968 to 1972. Under Gonzales, the call letters were changed to KSWV — derived from the Spanish phrase "Que Suave" — on November 11, 1991. The station was operated by Gonzales alongside his four sons. An FM translator, originally licensed in Hereford, Texas, was granted a construction permit in February 2016 to relocate to Santa Fe, rebroadcasting KSWV at 99.9 MHz with 250 watts. La Voz Broadcasting acquired the translator from Educational Media Foundation in January 2016, and the license for the new facility was issued in September 2016. Ownership of both the AM station and the FM translator was transferred to GCBendito 4 LLC effective November 22, 2017. In early 2019, the station shifted from a Spanish variety format to its current classic hits programming.
