About WILZ 104.5 FM
WILZ 104.5 FM streams live from Saginaw MI, United States, on Tuninga Radio.
This radio station specializes in Classic Rock, Rock, Oldies, Adult Contemporary music.
A commercial FM radio station broadcasting a classic rock format at 104.5 MHz in the Saginaw, Michigan market, operating under the brand name "Wheelz 104.5." The station is owned by Cumulus Media and serves as the local affiliate for the syndicated morning comedy program The Bob and Tom Show, the evening music program Nights with Alice Cooper, and carries play-by-play broadcasts of Michigan State Spartans football and men's basketball. The frequency launched in the early 1990s as WUVE, an album-oriented rock outlet carrying some programming from the ABC/Satellite Music Network's Z Rock service. In 1995 the station rebranded as WMJA with a classic hits format. In 1999 it adopted the current WILZ call letters and classic rock format — a move thought to reference the former Detroit album-rock station WLLZ 98.7 FM. For several years, WILZ simulcast programming on WYLZ 100.9 FM in Pinconning, Michigan, with both stations jointly branded as "Wheelz 104.5 and 101." The simulcast ended in June 2007 when WYLZ was sold as part of ABC Radio's absorption into Citadel Broadcasting, after which WYLZ shifted to a satellite-fed country format. Citadel retained WILZ until its merger with Cumulus Media on September 16, 2011, at which point Cumulus assumed ownership of the station.
