This radio station specializes in Oldies, Adult Contemporary, Classic Hits music.

An oldies and adult hits station serving eastern Long Island, broadcasting at 92.1 MHz and licensed to Sag Harbor, New York. Founded on August 13, 1963 by Fitzgerald C. Smith, a former reporter for The New York Times and NBC radio, the station began on AM at 1600 kHz and has broadcast on FM since 1969. The 1600 kHz AM frequency was sold in 1996 to WWRL. The FM transmitter is situated on a hill in Noyack, New York, informally known as Mount Sidney in honor of longtime station president Paul Sidney. The station broadcast in monaural until January 20, 2011, an uncommon characteristic on the FM band. WLNG has undergone only three ownership changes since its founding and is known for its use of jingles, reverb, remote broadcasts, and personality disc jockeys — characteristics that evoke an earlier era of local radio. Its signal is reported to reach from Mastic to Montauk and into parts of Rhode Island and Connecticut. The station is currently owned and operated by Bark Out Loud Dogs Media, LLC.
