10:13 Speaker 1 Young 24-year-old Corey Hine held off Christopher Bell to win the Brickyard 400 at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway on Sunday. Heim became the youngest winner in the Brickyard 400 since Jeff Gordon won the inaugural race at Indy back in 1994. Heim, who only drives part-time for Denny Hamlin and Michael Jordan's 2311 Racing, also became the first part-time driver to win multiple races in a cup season, since Davey Allison and Tim Richmond accomplished the same feat in 1987. With Heim's victory on Sunday, Christopher Bell finished the race in second. Joey Logano was 3rd, Chase Briscoe 4th, and Denny Hamlin 5th. Other notables include Carson Hosovar, who came home 9th, Ryan Blaney was 26th, and Kyle Larson, 39th. With four races now to go before the start of the chase, it is Denny Hamlin still the points leader by 84 markers over Tyler Reddick, with Ryan Blaney, Ty Gibbs, and Carson Hosovar making up the rest of the top five drivers in the standings. The Cup Series will now take a pause from racing this week and resume action in two weeks at the Iowa Speedway for the Iowa Corn 350 on August 9th. You can hear live flag-to-flag coverage of this race exclusively on the Motor Racing Network. And with the Monday morning race recap on the Motor Racing Network, I'm Tim Kettle-Femo.

On this day, July 27th, 1775, as the Revolutionary War is just getting underway, the Continental Congress recognized that caring for wounded soldiers would be just as important as raising an army. Disease claimed far more lives than combat during the Revolutionary War, and doctors, nurses and volunteers often worked under primitive conditions with limited supplies the decision marked the beginning of what would eventually become the united states army medical department whose mission continues today caring for american soldiers both on and off the battlefield the foundation of military medicine in america was laid on this day in 1775 this day in american history is brought to you by mint mobile premium wireless plan starting at just ten dollars a month Learn more at Save-A-Mint.com.
