FM 102.1 KAHM

A commercial radio station established in 1981 broadcasting beautiful music and easy listening format. Originally began with quarter-hour sweeps of instrumental cover versions of popular songs mixed with Broadway and Hollywood show tunes, gradually evolving to include 50 percent vocal programming. Expanded broadcast signal in the early 1990s from 1,000 watts to 58,000 watts, extending coverage across northern and central Arizona and metropolitan Phoenix areas. Adopted 24-hour broadcast automation in 2005. Remains one of the few broadcast stations in the United States continuing the easy listening format following its decline in the 1980s. Licensed through Phoenix Radio Broadcasting since 2018, operating under local marketing agreement management that maintains the station's longtime easy listening format and brand positioning.
