KGBI FM 100.7

A Christian adult contemporary station with a history spanning from the early 1950s. Originally developed by Grace Bible Institute as part of its educational mission, the station began as a weekly broadcast program before establishing as an independent FM station in 1966. Through multiple ownership transitions and format changes, it has expanded coverage from its initial modest range to a 120-mile broadcast area. The station has undergone significant infrastructure upgrades, including installation of a 1,200-foot transmission tower in 1990. Currently operated by the University of Northwestern-St. Paul as a non-commercial outlet, the station features contemporary Christian music and maintains a 24-hour daily broadcast schedule. The station uses advanced digital studio equipment and maintains active fundraising operations to support its non-commercial status.
