A community radio station licensed to Ocean Shores, Washington, broadcasting on 88.9 FM and serving the North Beach area communities of the Washington coast. Owned by the City of Ocean Shores, the station operates as a public service broadcaster staffed entirely by volunteers. The station began operations in July 2004 at FM 91.3, founded by community volunteers with a primary mission to inform Ocean Shores residents and visitors about local events, emergency procedures, and evacuation instructions. Ownership subsequently transferred to the city, broadening its public service mandate to the wider coastal area. Programming reflects an unusually wide musical variety, encompassing oldies, classic rock, big band, jazz, country and western, classical, opera, and Celtic music, alongside talk programming and public service announcements. Volunteer DJs conduct live remote broadcasts for community events and regularly disseminate local event information. The station underwent a significant technical upgrade after the FCC granted a construction permit in November 2021 to increase power and license class. The upgrade moved the station from a low-power signal of 76 watts ERP at 35 meters on 91.3 FM to full-service status at 1.2 kilowatts ERP at 120 meters on 88.9 FM with a directional antenna. The upgraded full-power signal was activated on January 6, 2024, substantially expanding coverage across the North Beach region. All programming is streamed live continuously over the internet.
