WCNI 90.9 Connecticut College

A freeform college radio station operating at 90.9 FM from the campus of Connecticut College in southeastern Connecticut. The station broadcasts an eclectic, genre-spanning music format encompassing folk, funk, polka, punk, and a wide range of other styles, programmed by student DJs with minimal format restrictions. WCNI streams simultaneously online and is available through platforms including iHeartRadio and CXRadio in addition to over-the-air reception at 90.9 MHz. Connecticut College itself is a private liberal arts institution founded in 1911, originally as a women's college and coeducational since 1969, with an enrollment of approximately 1,900 undergraduates. The station recently underwent a period of reduced power following tower work and has been in the process of restoring full-power broadcast capability from a new tower location on campus.
