Licensed to Watertown, Wisconsin, and serving the Madison metropolitan area at 94.1 FM, this commercial station broadcasts an active rock format under the brand "94-1 JJO." It is owned by Mid-West Family Broadcasting, with studios on Rayovac Drive in Madison and a transmitter on Wedvick Road in Deerfield. The station signed on August 1, 1961, as WTTN-FM at 104.7 MHz, relocating to 94.1 in the early 1970s. Until 1982 it simulcast alongside AM sister station WTTN (1580 kHz). After moving to FM stereo in 1982, it rebranded as WMLW airing soft adult contemporary and carried Milwaukee Brewers baseball alongside syndicated national countdown programs. A 1989 ownership change to Joyner Communications brought a Top 40 format under the name "94.1 WTFX The Fox," and studios moved to Madison. Mid-West Family Broadcasting subsequently acquired the station. On June 17, 1991, call letters changed to WJJO with a classic rock adoption. On April 1, 1997, the format shifted to its current active rock programming. The morning show was hosted for many years by Johnny Danger and Greg Bair; Bair departed in December 2006, returned in November 2008, and his final broadcast aired August 30, 2019. The morning show is currently hosted by Johnny Danger and Dee. Locally promoted concerts by active rock artists are a regular part of station activity.
