About WJJK 104.5 FM

WJJK 104.5 FM streams live from Indianapolis IN, United States, on Tuninga Radio.

This radio station offers diverse programming.

A commercial FM radio station licensed to Noblesville, Indiana, broadcasting a classic hits format to the Indianapolis metropolitan area. The station is owned by Cumulus Media and transmits at the maximum effective radiated power of 50,000 watts for most Indiana stations, with its transmitter located near the athletic fields of Butler University on Bulldog Road. It broadcasts in HD Radio hybrid format and maintains studios and offices on North Shadeland Avenue on the east side of Indianapolis. The station signed on the air on September 25, 1950, as WAJC, a non-commercial college radio outlet for Arthur Jordan College of Music at 91.3 MHz. It relocated to 104.5 MHz in 1956 as the Butler University station, increasing power to 8,800 watts. Butler University divested the frequency in 1993, selling it to Susquehanna Radio Corporation, which converted it to a commercial country music station under the call sign WGRL. In 1997, the station shifted to an oldies format as "Gold 104.5" with call letters WGLD. On March 13, 2005, it rebranded as WJJK and adopted the nationally syndicated Jack FM adult hits format, known as "104.5 Jack FM." Susquehanna Radio was acquired by Cumulus Media in 2006. That same year, the station transitioned to a classic hits format while retaining the WJJK call letters. The Jack FM branding was dropped in December 2007, and the station has since operated as "Classic Hits 104.5 WJJK," positioning itself as a leading outlet for 1980s hits and classic rock in the Indianapolis market.
