KTSU 90.9 FM

A non-commercial variety radio station operating at 90.9 FM, branded as "The Choice" and licensed to Texas Southern University, a historically Black university in Houston. The station was founded on June 23, 1972, making it one of the longer-running HBCU-licensed radio stations in Texas. Since 2005, its studios have been housed in the university's Center for Professional Media Studies, with the transmitter also located on the TSU campus. As a campus-based public broadcaster, KTSU functions both as a community radio resource and as an educational training ground for students in media and communications programs.
