WNCY's studios are situated at a broadcast facility on Bellevue Street in the Bellevue area, while its transmitter is located in a rural area east of Kaukauna. The current facility, valued at approximately $4.725 million, was completed in January 2008 following a groundbreaking in July 2006; it is shared by WNCY and the other Midwest Communications stations in Northeast Wisconsin. The station transitioned to its current 100.3 frequency on May 17, 1995, when it also adopted its country music format, having previously operated as WEMI-FM at 100.1 MHz. As a public safety measure, WNCY simulcasts the signal of sister station WIXX whenever a tornado warning is issued for any county within Northeast Wisconsin. Regular programming includes morning drive content, Wisconsin agricultural news, and local sports coverage focused on regional college and professional teams.
