An FM radio station operating at 105.5 MHz and branded as "Mix 105.5," serving Sevier County, Tennessee, as the county's only locally licensed FM station. Other FM stations licensed to the Sevierville area operate their studios from Knoxville. The station was originally licensed to Gatlinburg and operated alongside its AM sister station WSEV at 930 kHz. In 1990 both stations were acquired by the Dollywood Broadcasting Company, a privately held corporation whose investors included entertainer Dolly Parton, and Orr & Earls Broadcasting of Branson, Missouri, which was chosen as managing partner based on its experience running Branson-area stations KRZK and KOMC. Under new ownership the call sign changed to WDLY — reflecting the Parton connection — and the station adopted a country music format, branding itself with slogans such as "This Is Dolly's Station! 105.5 WDLY." The format faced competitive pressure from established Knoxville country stations WIVK-FM and WOKI. After a decade under the WDLY identity, the station was sold to East Tennessee Radio Group. The call sign reverted to WSEV-FM in May 2000, and studios relocated from Middle Creek Road in Sevierville to Dumplin Valley Road in Kodak, Tennessee. The station currently operates an adult contemporary format under the Mix 105.5 brand.
