The station serves the Florence, South Carolina, area and currently airs an urban gospel music format, simulcasting sister station WBZF in Hartsville to expand coverage across the region. The station has undergone numerous format changes across its history. It originally broadcast a beautiful music format under the WGFG-FM call sign, then shifted to middle-of-the-road and subsequently country music as WQTR. Later configurations included oldies under the name Fun 100 as WWFN, classic rock, and contemporary hit radio. In January 2013 the station affiliated with CBS Sports Radio, and in March 2021 it adopted a classic country format branded as Classic Country 100.1. In August 2023, the format transitioned to hot adult contemporary as Q100.1, with the station acquiring the WQPD call sign simultaneously. In October 2025, the station began simulcasting WBZF's urban gospel programming to provide broader coverage to the Florence metropolitan area.
