About WYKX 104.7 FM

WYKX 104.7 FM streams live from Escanaba MI, United States, on Tuninga Radio.

This radio station offers diverse programming.

A locally owned and operated country music radio station licensed to Escanaba, Michigan, serving the central Upper Peninsula region. The station first went on air on December 20, 1977 under the call sign WFNN, operating as "Fun 104," an automated Top 40 format. During that era, programming was largely independent from its AM sister station WDBC, though it simulcast Casey Kasem's American Top 40 on occasion. Following the launch of competitor WGLQ in 1982, the station adopted its current call letters and shifted to country music programming. Ownership is held by Todd Mohr through licensee Aurora Media, LLC, which also operates adult standards station WDBC 680 AM. The broadcast signal reaches from Menominee to Marquette and from Iron Mountain to Manistique, and extends across Lake Michigan into portions of northern Lower Michigan near Leland and Frankfort. The station is an affiliate of the Detroit Lions radio network, carrying every regular season home and away game for listeners across the central Upper Peninsula. Weekday mornings feature a locally produced show hosted by Arthur Wyman, airing from 6 to 10 a.m. The WFNN call sign assigned to this frequency has since been reassigned to a separate station in Erie, Pennsylvania.
