A commercial radio station licensed in Creston, Iowa, founded in 1946 and operating a country music format for the majority of its broadcast history. The station serves an eight-county coverage area in southwest Iowa, reaching as far north as West Des Moines and south to the Missouri border. Primary coverage counties include Adair, Adams, Ringgold, and Union, with broader reach extending to Clarke, Decatur, Madison, and Taylor counties. Local news, weather, and sports programming are central to the station's identity, including live coverage of local baseball, basketball, and football games. The station briefly changed its format to talk radio beginning March 31, 2014, carrying syndicated programs including AgriTalk, The Dennis Miller Show, and Herman Cain, before returning to country music on October 10, 2014. Upon returning to country, the station broadened its music library to include artists from multiple decades alongside current releases, and shifted to an entirely local DJ staff.
