An FM radio station in Bellefontaine, Ohio, programming a hot adult contemporary format under the ownership of V-Teck Communications. It operates as a sister station to AM outlet WBLL 1390, and the two form a local radio cluster serving Logan County and the surrounding area of west-central Ohio. The station has a long history in the market, signing on June 1, 1969, under the call letters WGOM — standing for "Ohio's Good Music" — before rebranding as WTOO-FM in 1978 with a contemporary hit format, marketed as "Stereo Too 98." The current WPKO-FM call letters were adopted on February 19, 1988, originally carrying the -FM suffix to distinguish it from the AM counterpart. That suffix has since become optional, and the station is now commonly referred to simply as WPKO. The station describes itself as almost entirely locally produced, distinguishing it from many contemporaries that rely heavily on syndicated or voice-tracked content. In January 2005, a major ice storm knocked the station off the air for several hours after disrupting power to broadcast facilities. Following that outage, V-Teck Communications invested in emergency generators to safeguard against future interruptions. The station's website is branded under the Peak of Ohio name.
