The present station signed on April 25, 1971, at 10 watts on 91.1 MHz; the inaugural broadcast played "Another Day" by Paul McCartney. Power was progressively increased, reaching 380 watts in 1975 and continuing to grow in subsequent decades. Funding is allocated primarily through Auburn University's Student Government Association via student activity fees. Programming is eclectic and student-curated, with a daily schedule spanning jazz, indie rock, folk, alternative rock, and specialty shows.
