This community radio station, established in 1995, operates as a pilot project of the Training Education Research and Resource Centre. It was founded following an application lodged in October 1993 and was granted a one-year license in 1995. The station aims to reflect the diversity and views of its listeners through its programming, adhering to license conditions by producing content in Setswana, IsiXhosa, Afrikaans, and English, which are spoken in the region. It serves all communities within the Frances Baard region, irrespective of race, religion, creed, or color. In October 2012, it was ranked 23rd according to National Rams. The station has received several accolades, including the Best Provincial Performer award for 2004/5, the Northern Cape Sports Award for Media Institute of the year in 2006, and the Body, Mind & Soul Listeners Association Award in 2007. The Station Manager also holds leadership positions within the NCRF, serving as the current NCRF Northern Cape Chairperson and an ex-officio member of the NCRF National Board.
