Traxx FM is Malaysia's premier English-language urban contemporary radio station, operated by Radio Televisyen Malaysia (RTM) as the public broadcaster's offering for young, cosmopolitan English-speaking listeners. Launched as Radio 4 and rebranded as Traxx FM in 2005, the station delivers high-energy programming featuring international pop, rock, R&B, and urban music alongside entertainment news and lifestyle content. Broadcasting 24 hours daily from Angkasapuri in Kuala Lumpur, Traxx FM targets young adults aged 18-35 with a modern, vibrant sound that differs from its commercial competitors while maintaining public broadcasting values. The station gained national recognition in 2001 when it became the first radio station in Malaysia to broadcast a live baby birth, earning a place in the Malaysia Book of Records.
