This community broadcasting station commenced broadcasting on November 7, 1983, serving the local government areas of Ashfield, Burwood, Concord, Drummoyne, and Strathfield. It has been on air continuously since its inception. The station's mission is to be a culturally diverse community organization with strong ties to local groups, aiming to entertain, stimulate interest in local issues and affairs, and educate.
