Equipment and microphones were donated by the Secretariat of Education in Lomas de Zamora. The station’s programming features content created by students across various subjects and workshops, rotating on a 24-hour cycle. The station's name, “the station,” resulted from a contest among fifth-year students, proposed by Florencia Gasparini, Viviana Paez, Antonella Malmen, Candela Cañete, and Noelia Alvarez. The slogan, “Corazón al sur,” was the second-highest vote-getter among administrators, advisors, and teachers, and was created by Candela Piedrozzi, Luciana Petre, Micaela Roteño, Florencia Rois, and Jimena Kinjuk. Antonela Agudo and Alan Mischuk, students in the fourth and sixth years respectively, designed the station's logo. Carla Ritrovato, a recognized rock journalist, became the station's godmother starting in December 2016, marking the end of the first season. The station's Twitter handle is @ecosdemalvinas, and it is accessible 24 hours a day via the website. The station celebrated its tenth anniversary, showcasing a series of achievements for the school.
