0:19 Speaker 1 It is now 7 a.m. in the nation of Antigua and Barbuda.
0:26 Proclaiming the gospel and promoting the second coming of Jesus Christ. This is Second Advent Radio 101.5 FM.
0:45 Speaker 5 There are two entire chapters in the Bible that deal with immorality, both written by someone with considerable expertise in the area. Solomon has the dubious distinction of having married 700 women and keeping another 300 as concubines, similar to wives but of a lower status. He who for a significant period of his life showed zero moral restraint wrote Proverbs 5 and 7. And in Proverbs 5, 3 and 4 said, For the lips of an immoral woman drip honey, and her mouth is smoother than oil. But in the end, she is bitter as wormwood, sharp as a two-edged sword. Of course, he's not giving a free pass to immoral men, not by any stretch. His point is, there are times you say no when you choose not to be governed by impulses or feelings. Not every desire has to be indulged. That moment of madness is never worth it. I'm John Bradshaw for It Is Written.
1:41 Speaker 3 Chances are we're lying to our kids.
1:44 Speaker 6 From Keys for Kids Ministries, here's Greg Yoder with a Keys for Kids Parent Minute.
1:50 Speaker 3 You're the best. You are singing better than everybody up there. You hit the ball further than all the other kids. Well, if it's true, you're not lying. But if they're not the best, is it lying to tell our kids these things or should we be truthful? I know it's important to help our kids with confidence. We need to show them how much we believe in them, but lying to them may hurt your relationship. Eventually, they'll figure it out. some will even wonder but what else are they lying about say things like you really gave it your all today didn't you i'm so proud of you or your practice really paid off didn't it great job speaking the truth and love can build trust for the future you can receive keys for kids
2:54 Speaker 4 the messiah some call him the son of david some call him the lily of the valley some call him the bright and morning star but i call him jesus for i hear the angel said thou shall call his name jesus for he shall save his people from their sin there's something about the word shall that word shall is not fraught with the vagaries of any subjunctive mood there is no maybe about it so So when the angel said he shall save his people, I stopped by tonight to say to every weak sinner, to every struggling sinner, if you place your life in the hands of Jesus, if you ask the Holy Ghost to order your life in the footprints of Jesus, if you surrender, he shall save you.
