KFAV has received recognition from New Music Weekly magazine, which named the station's program director, Mike Thomas, Country Program Director of the Year in both 2007 and 2014. In the same 2014 cycle, New Music Weekly named KFAV "Country Radio Station of the Year." Programming has included nationally syndicated country shows alongside local content.
