The AM operation broadcasts at 1,000 watts by day, reducing to 910 watts overnight to limit interference. Two FM translators extend coverage: 101.3 K267CT in Sequim and 101.7 K269FX locally. The station airs a news-talk format, with weekday programming anchored by two local morning programs, The Peninsula's Morning News and The Morning Scramble, followed by midday and late-afternoon news blocks. A local midday talk program, The Todd Ortloff Show, rounds out daily local production. Nationally syndicated content includes programs from Armstrong and Getty, Dave Ramsey, John Batchelor's CBS Eye on the World, and Coast to Coast AM. Live sports coverage includes Seattle Kraken, Mariners, Seahawks, and University of Washington Huskies, as well as local high school athletics. The station originally signed on February 3, 1945, making it one of the oldest continuous broadcasting operations on the Olympic Peninsula. Its first transmission tower was a locally cut 180-foot Douglas fir. Through the following decades it evolved from Top 40 music to adult contemporary before settling into its current news-talk orientation.
