Über KCRO 660 AM
KCRO 660 AM streamt live aus Omaha NE, United States, auf Tuninga Radio.
Dieser Radiosender ist spezialisiert auf Religious, Christian, Talk, Gospel-Musik.
Operating at 660 kHz, this commercial AM station holds the distinction of being Nebraska's oldest radio station, first licensed on April 19, 1922 under the original call sign WAAW. It is owned by Hickory Radio and carries a Christian talk and teaching format, with programming from national religious figures including Jim Daly, Chuck Swindoll, and David Jeremiah. Southern gospel music fills weekend hours. The station operates as brokered time radio, with hosts paying for airtime blocks ranging from 15 to 30 minutes. National news is sourced from the Salem Radio Network. Because 660 AM is a clear channel frequency reserved for 50,000-watt Class A station WFAN in New York City, the Omaha station is limited to 1,000 watts during daytime hours and must sharply reduce to 54 watts after dark to avoid interference. A non-directional antenna is used at all times. Studios are on Burt Street in West Omaha, with the transmitter located near Roncalli Catholic High School. An FM translator, originally at 106.5 MHz, was subsequently relocated to Lincoln at 106.7 FM. The station's early history spans nearly a century of broadcasting. Originally assigned to 660 kHz under the Federal Radio Commission's General Order 40 in November 1928, it was restricted to daytime-only operation for many years. The call letters changed multiple times before arriving at the current KCRO designation.
