A commercial FM station broadcasting at 92.3 MHz, licensed to Hialeah, Florida, and serving the Miami-Fort Lauderdale metropolitan market. Owned by the Spanish Broadcasting System, the station airs a format combining salsa music with Spanish hot adult contemporary programming. Studios are located at the Raul Alarcon Broadcast Center on Northwest 77th Avenue in Medley, while the transmitter is positioned atop the Panorama Tower in the Brickell district of downtown Miami. The station operates with an effective radiated power of 17,000 watts. The station signed on December 22, 1969 under the call sign WHMS-FM at 92.1 MHz, owned by the Flamingo Broadcasting Company, initially airing middle-of-the-road and easy listening music at 3,000 watts. In 1972 it changed call letters to WQXK and adopted a country music format. In 1974, responding to Miami's expanding Hispanic population, the station switched to Spanish-language programming, playing oldies associated with Cuba, Puerto Rico, and the Dominican Republic. At that time it adopted the call sign WCMQ, named in homage to CMQ 640 AM, a prominent Havana radio station prior to 1960. Over the following decades the station gradually shifted its catalog toward Spanish classic hits from more recent decades. On April 1, 2012, it formally changed its format to salsa music under the "Zeta 92.3" brand. Beginning October 31, 2019, the station began incorporating occasional English-language songs alongside its Spanish-language content, with a focus on music from the 1970s through the 1990s. Programming includes morning shows, afternoon drive segments, and a VIP listener club.
