A contemporary Christian-formatted radio station licensed to Benton, Kentucky, serving the Jackson Purchase region of western Kentucky, including the Paducah metropolitan area. The station is owned by Pennyrile Christian Community, Inc., which also operates Southern Gospel station WTRT (88.1 FM) and Christian radio station WAAJ (90.5 FM) as part of a triopoly. All three stations share studios on College Street in downtown Hardin, Kentucky, while the transmitter facilities are located off Cedar Knob Road in rural Marshall County, southeast of Benton and northeast of Hardin. The station originally signed on in November 1996 under the call letters WAAJ, launching with a Contemporary Christian format under the branding The J-FM. In 2006 it transitioned to a Bluegrass and Folk music format. In October 2014 it returned to its original Contemporary Christian format. The station broadcasts syndicated Christian programming from a range of producers alongside its music content, and also carries a Southern Gospel music stream. The station maintains an online presence at wvhm.org and supports listener giving through credit and debit card donations as well as a monthly bank draft program called the Firm Friend Club.
