A non-commercial educational radio station at 89.3 FM licensed to Cleveland, Ohio, now carrying a mainstream jazz format under the JazzNEO brand. Owned by Cleveland State University and operated by Ideastream Public Media, the station serves much of Greater Cleveland and Northeast Ohio as an affiliate of NPR, Public Radio Exchange, and the WFMT Jazz Network. Studios are located at the Idea Center within Playhouse Square on Euclid Avenue in Downtown Cleveland, with the transmitter atop Rhodes Tower on the Cleveland State University campus. The signal is available online and simulcast on the second HD Radio subchannel of WCLV (90.3 FM). Founded on May 10, 1976, the station operated for nearly five decades as a campus and free-form outlet programmed largely by Cleveland State University students and community members. During that era, programming encompassed a notably broad stylistic range including blues, folk, psychedelic rock, noise, indie rock, experimental music, ambient, jazz in multiple subgenres, electronic music, hardcore punk, reggae, soca, salsa, K-pop, heavy metal, hip hop, and ethnic-language programming serving Latin, German, Hungarian, Polish, East Asian, Arabic, Congolese, and Slovenian communities within Greater Cleveland. The transition to the JazzNEO identity and Ideastream management was completed in October 2025.
