WOVO is a country music-formatted radio station licensed to Auburn, Kentucky, serving the Bowling Green metropolitan area. It broadcasts on 96.7 FM and is owned by Seven Mountains Media, with studios located on Scottsville Road in southern Bowling Green and a transmitter sited in northwestern Allen County. The station has operated under numerous identities since its origins in the early 1960s. It launched in May 1965 as WLBJ-FM, a subsidiary of Bahakel Communications, initially offering album-oriented rock under the "Natural 97 FM" banner before shifting to contemporary hit radio as "BJ-97" in 1980. Subsequent ownership changes brought further rebranding: the station became WCBZ in 1987, then relaunched as rock outlet WBZD "Buzzard 96.7" in 1992 after a power upgrade. A brief adult contemporary phase under the WMJM call sign followed in 1993. In July 1994, the station adopted the "Beaver" brand as WBVR-FM, a country-focused identity it maintained for roughly three decades before transitioning to its current WOVO branding. Throughout its history, the station has changed ownership and format multiple times, reflecting broader shifts in the Bowling Green radio market. It currently shares facilities with co-owned stations operated by Seven Mountains Media.
