Shirley & Spinoza Radio

Shirley & Spinoza Radio is an online station based in Dali, China, with Chinese-language programming and a live stream on its official website. Its formats include variety, talk, and comedy, presented through “broken, bouncing mixed up radio waves from your planet.” The station’s site describes live and archived work built from field recordings, studio recordings, live sounds, processing, and improvisation. Remote Operator is created live from the s&S Radio studio, combining field and studio recordings with live processing. Other recurring projects include the Quieter Time of Night mix-tapey series and At The Listener Sounds Plaza, a one-hour program built from sounds submitted by station friends and listeners.
